Dr. Christi and her team are certified hormone specialists
Trained by the Hormone Therapy Center of America (HTCA) to help men and women experiencing symptoms of hormone imbalance. Women and Men generally experience very distinct symptoms of hormone imbalance. Most of these symptoms can be emotional, non-reproductive and/or reproductive, and can negatively affect your personal life, professional life, self-confidence, self-image and your intimate relationships.
Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone are the main hormones affected by menopause, pre-menopause, perimenopause, and post-menopause. Men also suffer from hormone imbalance as they age, causing many of the same symptoms that women suffer from. For men, testosterone is the main hormone affected by aging.

Menopause can be associated with decreased ovarian function.
This results in reduced levels of ovarian hormones. Most women experience a 30-60% drop in estrogen during menopause. This decline can lead to hot flashes, night sweats, and rapid heart rates. A decrease in testosterone can lead to mood swings, depression, and decreased sex drive. Pre-menopause, perimenopause, and post menopause can all lead to fluctuations of hormones, which can cause many of these symptoms.
If hormone deficiencies are left untreated, they can lead to increased chances of heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, breast cancer and diabetes. Some women experience decreased testosterone even before menopause and can benefit from hormone optimization.
